Operations Management Operations management refers to a management area which involves control and design of the process of production, as well as business operations in the production of goods and services (Shim Siegel, 2009). It ensures efficiency in business operations through use of few resources as required. In addition, it ensures that the business operations are effective through meeting the requirements of the customers. Operation management has the responsibility of managing the process, which converts inputs such as raw materials into outputs (Shim Siegel, 2009).
